my heart. the wellspring of life.
the center of the matter.
passion to go beyond just going through the motions.
what's replaced it?
an overwhelming sense of apathy.

it's beautiful to see in the mess of life
the masterpiece of being able to put into words
what i need to get to my knees about
and surrender for a sustaining hope.

i need to want what i need. i need to be willing.
i need to ask. i need to receive. i need to be fully alive.
