the Lord has been doing some wonderful things in my life. i'm not who i was. from six weeks. from last week. from yesterday. so beautiful to see that the Lord intends to use each moment to show me a different glimpse of Himself--His goodness, His love, His grace. i need this confidence to move forward without fear, without doubt. i desire this boldness to step out of myself, to be who He has gave me all of this potential to be.
what has been going on lately? SO much. the flu. food poisoning. kara and noetzel's wedding. cupid shuffle. saying "see ya" to desserts + facebook. a surprise attack in college station. return-from-uganda reunions. my second home at OBU. sonic happy hour dates. lovely letters + mail being sent all over. gearing up for kanakuk anything + everything. sweet camp friends. engagements. may 9th creeping closer, a strong correlation to senioritis.
...and most wonderfully, an eight-day adventure in texas. getting to be a part of mission arlington was just confirmation of the Lord's future for me. the passion for children, for youth, for ministry: a renewal of a part of myself that was attacked by fear. i was in my element. i was a me that i have lost touch with, due to college and change and transition and complacency and questioning. thank you, Jesus, for such encouragement.
passion outweighing fear. striving forward into the unknown became more important than sinking into the complacency of what was. finding beauty in startling moments of miracles versus losing sight of the masterpiece He has crafted.
i believe in the power of prayer. power of community. power of love. power of mercy. more so than ever before. and that belief and faith and hope will have me never being quite the same ever again. thank God for that.
this is so brief for such a revelation, but i love it. it's mine to behold. to understand. to grasp. to enjoy. and i pray that the Lord is revealing wonderful things in this time.
side note for texas: the lett family is pretty ridiculous as the video will show (stinking wonderful). i got a tour of fort worth with the bridge crew (thoroughly enjoyed that as well). love them all dearly. and my phone is R.I.P. so do give me a ring so i can have your number again.
love love love love you.
