note: listen to david crowder while reading. seriously.

"Life makes it so hard sometimes to know what’s real when I can’t feel You there,
when I can’t see You there, when I can’t comprehend that You are there.
And the problem it seems is with you and me, not the Love
who came to repair everything. So we lift up our voices and open our hands,
let go of the things that have kept us from Him. He is here
with redemption from the fall that we may live for the glory of it all.
And this makes all the difference. This changes everything,
making our whole existence worth something. We won’t be quiet.
We’ve fallen for You hard and we can’t stop. We won’t deny it.
My eyes are small but they have seen the beauty of enormous things.
When all the love in the world is right here among us and hatred too,
and so we must choose what our hands will do. He speaks,
and listening to His voice, new life the dead receive,
the mournful broken hearts rejoice, the humble poor believe.
Where there is pain, let us bring grace. Where there is suffering, bring serenity.
For those afraid, let us be brave. Where there is misery, let us bring them relief.
You are there. You’re everywhere. You are everywhere. Oh, come fall at His feet.
He’s the remedy. Oh, what love. Oh, what love in joy and pain, in sun and rain.
You’re the same. Oh, You never let go. Rain down Your love and rain down
Your grace and cover me. I can’t comprehend. I can’t take it all in,
never understand such perfect love come for the broken and beat,
for the wounded and weak. And surely we can change, surely we can change.
Oh surely we can change something. Everything will change.
Things will never be the same. We will never be the same."

what's beautiful? seeing and listening to david crowder live (the new cd is so good!). getting a massage. baking brownies. a saturday night in. not being connected to my phone. birthdays. having dinnertime conversations with friends. prayer walks. canvas with sharpies. waking up naturally without an alarm set. rick's bakery in the mornings. not having to work for a week. a fourth roommate. ridiculously cute kids. bentonville.

so i put my hope in the One who provides all things beautiful when i need them the most. the One who knows what i need when i do not even know what i want. i know this: i want to be persistent in being aware of His blessings and giving Him thanks continually. :)

thank You, Father, for the beauty of everyday living with You.
